Loved

You may have been older, supposedly wise,

but all you did was drain the light out of this girl’s blue eyes

You left her with scars 3 inches deep,

you made the most elated of girls weep

You disappeared abruptly, never said goodbye,

so evidently all your friendship ever was was a lie

The twist to this story is she’s glad you let her go,

let her move forward, away from the past

no longer crippled, no longer wearing a cast.
